The First Meeting

The first meeting was in Velingrad, Bulgaria from 22nd to 27th November. The students and teachers from the foreign countries visited our school and presented their CLIL lessons on different topics about the labor market in Europe.

Every single day offered a very busy and various schedule. The first day started with a saffari competiton, in which we, the students, were divided in different teams. We had to visit different places in our town, including hotels, restaurants, parks, museums and historical monuments. We had to gather information about each place and at the end of the day we had to do a presentation on the adventurous experience.

Each team did a great job and more importatntly, every student had fun while learning all about the culture, traditions and the labor market in our town and country. All the foreign students and teachers had the wonderful opportunity to visit the town of Plovdiv, as well as the Rila Monastery, Tsari-Mali-Grad and Blagoevgrad.

As we all know, the aim of this project is to learn all about the industries in each country we visit. Because of this, we also went to the paper factory DS Smith near Plovdiv and the carpet factory in the small town of Kostandovo. The people in this factory have made carpets for the queen of England. One of the carpets they have made can even be seen in the Harry Potter movies. All the students were really interested in the process of the carpet producing and were amazed by all the beautiful pieces of art.

On the last day, a ceremony took place, in which each foreign student and teacher received their certificats of participation.

Yes, we worked and studied a lot but we also had lots of fun. There were two parties -  a welcome party and a farewell party. We talked, danced and listened to music. We had a great time, but all of us were really sad in the end, because we had to say goodbye to each other. But let's look it on the brightside, there are still many meetings ahead of us! We will have the chance to see each other again!

We also have lots of photos that will always keep the memories alive! This one, for example, is my personal favourite and I am looking forward to making a similar photo with my Polish friends in 2017! ^_^

Special thanks to Artur Baranowski for the amazing photography he let us use!
